Wag the Dog specializes in compassionate dog care for you and your pet while you are away — or when you just need an extra set of legs! We reinforce training techniques for you to use with your pet, address the health and dietary standards you set, and maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere for your furry friends.

Our dedicated team is here to provide a fun environment where your pets can socialize, play, and explore while being supervised by our experienced staff members.

Through our interview process, we learn about your pet-family needs and requirements to make sure we’re the best fit for what you need.

While we do board pets, we also specialize in in-home pet sitting, which can reduce the stress of a new place while you are away.

We think of your pet family as our own pet family — we will always provide the best quality care to the fullest extent of our ability.

Meet Our Team

Stephanie Marsh

Stephanie has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember. Growing up, her mother worked for the Humane Society; it seemed there was always a new rescued animal or two in their home. It was at a young age that Stephanie knew she wanted to be surrounded by animals for the rest of her life. Wag the Dog allows her to continue experiencing the joy and love that results from caring for animals. In her free time, Steph enjoys ‘paying it forward’ by volunteering her time for causes related to the environment, sustainability, education or animal rescues. Steph also considers herself to be a huge supporter of local businesses, and always strives to reduce her carbon footprint in any way possible. Steph is always willing to go above and beyond, which she believes has created both a fulfilling lifestyle, and an intensification of her love of animals.

  • Wag the Dog is one of the best dog walkers in the city. Steph, the owner, is fantastic with all dogs - especially picky bulldogs (like mine) - and takes her time walking and playing with them. She’s almost always available when I need her last minute (which is fairly often with my schedule), and she’s very affordable compared to other walkers in the city. I highly recommend her and her walkers, and always look forward to having her walk my Frenchie, knowing she’s in great hands.
